Bruins lead 1-0 after Game 1
Florida on upset alert after Game 1 Loss
The Boston Bruins have taken a 1-0 series lead over the Florida Panthers in the Eastern Conference Semifinals after a 4-3 overtime win in Game 1 on Tuesday night.
Brandon Montour scored the game-tying goal with just 53 seconds remaining in regulation, and Carter Verhaeghe scored the overtime winner just 2:23 into the extra period.
It was a stunning upset for the Panthers, who finished the regular season with the Presidents Trophy as the NHL's top team.
The Bruins, meanwhile, are now 5-0-0 against the Panthers this season.
Game 2 of the series is scheduled for Thursday night in Boston.
