Match Summary
Belgrano suffered a disappointing home defeat against Tigre on Wednesday night, losing 0-3 in their opening match of the 2024 Liga Profesional Argentina season.
Tigre took the lead in the 20th minute through a clinical strike from Mateo Retegui. The visitors doubled their advantage 10 minutes later with a well-taken free-kick from Facundo Colidio.
Belgrano struggled to create any meaningful chances throughout the first half, and their fortunes did not improve after the break. Tigre put the game beyond doubt in the 70th minute when Colidio set up Retegui for his second goal of the night.

Belgrano coach Ricardo Zielinski was disappointed with his team's performance.
"We were not good enough tonight," he said. "We need to work on our concentration and our decision-making. We have to improve quickly if we want to compete for the title."
Tigre coach Diego Martínez was delighted with his team's performance.
"I'm very happy with the way we played tonight," he said. "We were organized and disciplined, and we took our chances. This is a great start to the season for us."
